This is Maia from Spock. I just wanted to apologize for the mix-up. The address book import page looks like this, so you can see that we do actually say that an e-mail will be sent to each of your selected contacts. The majority of our users have not experienced any difficulties with the address book import process. Because several users have expressed concerns though, we will be changing the process this week to clarify what goes on at each step. We are currently revising our import process based on user feedback in order to make it as simple as possible, and the best experience for everyone. Please let me know if you have any suggestions on how to improve the process, and they will be taken into consideration during our redesign.
Best,
Maia
