We've changed the sign-in process to be more clear about the ABI and the ability to pick and choose people you invite (including no one). As far as where Spock fits in the whole spectrum of Web 2.0 and social networking sites, we're ultimately designed more around search than being a social network. We believe that ultimately we're a more useful site for searching people both professionally and socially than Myspace, LinkedIn, and Google.
